To optimize the energy usage and to support people with well illuminated streets at night in rural areas, the SmartLighting concept has been developed at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The goal of the project is to create a large-scale wireless sensor network over the existing street lighting infrastructure in order to create a SmartLighting system.
